Does selling into a varied industrial end user market play to your strengths? If so, we’d love to hear from you…
The Company
We, the UK’s largest packaging distributor have an exciting opportunity for an experienced National Account Manager to come and represent us. You will join our successful national accounts team and enjoy a varied territory sales role. We are a committed equal opportunities employer that champions ‘dignity in the workplace’. Our focus is to provide customers with fully integrated and innovative packaging solutions, augmented by outstanding customer service. Appointing and nurturing sales talent across our business is key to our continued growth.
The National Account Manager Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the National Accounts team at Macfarlane Packaging. You will be responsible for spearheading continued sales growth within the industrial marketplace, focussing on a number of verticals including: Engineering, aerospace, automotive & distribution. You can expect to be handed some high profile existing accounts to maintain and develop, but you will also relish the challenge of securing and on-boarding new national account customers for our business. This market holds endless scope to build upon our impressive existing client portfolio and you can expect to be well rewarded for your talent and dedication in continuing to grow and develop our industrial customer base.
Do you have the correct profile?
You will be an experienced national accounts manager, ideally accustomed to a balanced role that focusses fairly evenly on existing account management and proactive sales development. A background in packaging sales (or similarly aligned print design solutions) would be preferable albeit we will consider applications from other sales backgrounds (such as MRO distribution), particularly whereby someone has enjoyed relevant market exposure. We are keen to talk to people who have an impressive sales track-record of selling into Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive and Distribution markets (at national account level). You will more likely enjoy success within this role if you are familiar with a more technical solution based selling approach.
The Rewards
We are keen to tailor an attractive package to secure the top sales talent for this key appointment… including an attractive basic salary negotiable based on experience and a genuinely uncapped commission scheme. We also operate a significant profit linked annual bonus scheme, a good choice of company cars (or allowance), smartphone & I-Pad. Our flexible benefits package includes: 25 days annual leave (rising up to 27 days with service plus all bank holidays), additional holiday purchasing scheme, contributory pension, private health (Bupa) & employee discount scheme. Macfarlane Group is also dedicated to maximizing every employee’s potential, by providing career development plans and pathways in an environment that fosters personal growth and continuous improvement.
