Digital Marketing Apprentice (Web Assistant)

The Web Assistant Role 
Reporting to the e-commerce Team Manager, your role will make a key contribution to the continued success of our online business. You will undertake management and maintenance of the company ecommerce website, as well as dealing with enquiries from members of the public and our internal customers across over 30 sites in the UK and Europe. Some of the key duties shall include…
 
  • Management and maintenance of the company ecommerce website
  • Admin support to internal/external customers
  • Set up new accounts and users on the website, ensuring customer data is correct
  • Deal with inbound enquiries providing advice and solutions
  • Collaboration with other departments to launch new products on the website, ensuring product information is correct and pricing up to date
  • Utilising third-party resources
  • Additional support across the business as required
 
You will gain experience of various web processes from administration to design and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You will be working within a busy B2B environment whereby you can expect a demanding yet rewarding role, offering genuine scope for future progression. This role will be appointed via an apprenticeship contract, with a duration of approximately 18 months, upon completion the employee will be awarded with a recognized qualification (apprenticeship level 3 Digital Marketer).
 
Do you have the correct profile?
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in starting or continuing a career within the digital marketing/e-commerce arena. We would also prefer applicants to have enjoyed some previous experience of customer interaction and/or administrative duties via another line of work experience.  With strong qualifications (ideally a minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Math’s & English at A-C grades or equivalent) you will be comfortable with the prospect of committing to a training plan that will involve you studying towards the qualification (this will require some ‘off the job’ study during working hours and submitting/evidencing learnings as well as regularly meeting with course tutor).  Above all else, we are ideally seeking someone who can demonstrate the following characteristics…
 
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Experienced user of MS Teams and OneDrive would be an advantage but not essential
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Good customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Process-driven & capable of multitasking and running more than one project at one time
  • Good time management skills
  • The ability to work on own initiative
  • The ability to learn new skills and apply them efficiently and correctly
  • Knowledge of Cloudfy ecommerce platform would be an advantage (not essential)
