Package: Basic Annual Salary up to £22,630 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full time (40 hours) Monday to Friday
Holidays : Starting at 23 days, rising to 27 days with service. Plus bank holidays

The Company
Our established manufacturing operation in Westbury is currently hiring for a Timber Manufacturing Operative. Our specialist manufacturing division designs and manufactures bespoke protective packaging solutions which are designed exclusively for customers to protect their products during transportation and storage. Customers span several key sectors including: Aerospace, Defence, Electronics, Industrial and Medical.
The Role & Responsibilities
The role involves the operation of a range of conversion machinery for the manufacture of timber cases and pallets using softwood timber and plywood.
Following induction and training the key elements of the role are:
We welcome your application if you are a production operative with woodworking skills looking to develop their knowledge and skill base.
You will ideally be practical and familiar with using a range of machinery, whilst upholding health, safety, and quality standards.
The ability to read/interpret technical drawings would be useful as would experience of working to tight deadlines.
You will ideally reside within a reasonable daily commute to our Westbury site and have a positive attitude and flexible approach to work including overtime as required.

- Adhere to Health and Safety instructions and guidelines
- Adhere to and be instrumental in supporting our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 processes
- Complete training program
- Understand drawings and specification details
- Complete job set up in designated time
- Use of various cutting and nailing equipment
- Construction of small/large timber cases and pallets
- Completing all relevant documentation accurately and promptly
- Communicate effectively and work closely with Line Managers and colleagues
- Develop knowledge of production techniques, practices and products
