Location: Westbury, Wiltshire

Package: Basic Salary negotiable on experience (in line with hourly pay equivalent from £7.68 to £10.00 per hour Plus Bonus & Company Benefits

This is an exciting opportunity to join our established manufacturing operation based in Westbury.

We are urgently seeking to appoint a number of competent and experienced Production Operatives who can bring credible experience of having worked within a manufacturing environment and add value to the existing team. We have existing opportunities to join us working in:-

Timber/Woodworking Department (Hand held power tools, saws & joinery duties)

BoardMill - Corrugate Conversion (Machine Operating/Setting)

Foam Assembly Department (Assembly & Machine Operating)

The Role/Responsibilities

Working within one of the above busy production departments, you will typically be working within a small team environment, using a range of hand-held tools, machinery and/or undertaking specific assembly duties. Each of our manufacturing areas work to produce bespoke packaging components in line with customer orders and specifications. Key responsibilities can include…

• Effectively interpret technical drawings to derive best method of manufacturing assembly
• Use a range of machines & tools including Router, various Saws & Nail guns etc.
• Taking responsibility for jobs from start-to-finish, effectively completing projects (in line with customer order specifications, quality guidelines and within agreed deadlines)
• To ensure all job instructions are followed safely & accurately in order to meet the required quality and output levels.
• Completing all relevant documentation accurately and promptly, before passing to Team Leader (including KPI reporting & use of visual management boards)
• Following all quality guidelines accurately as stipulated by the customer order specifications

Do you have the correct profile?

We are welcoming applications only from experienced production workers who have worked within similar manufacturing led operations. Applicants will ideally be familiar with using a range of associated hand-tools and machinery, be accustomed to upholding health, safety & quality standards whilst owning their own projects and working to deadlines. An ability to read/interpret technical drawings is imperative as is familiarity with KPI reporting & ideally working with visual management boards. You will reside within a reasonable daily journey time to our Westbury site and have a positive and flexible approach to work.
