The Company
We are the UK’s largest packaging distributor and we are seeking to appoint experienced Production Operatives at our site in Nottingham. Our specialist manufacturing division designs and produces bespoke protective packaging solutions which are designed exclusively for customers in safeguarding their products in transit. Our customers are UK wide and span a number of key verticals including: Aerospace, Defence, Electronics, Industrial and Medical.
The Role/Responsibilities
You will join our small friendly team working at our Nottingham site and be asked to work an alternating weekly shift pattern of 6am-2pm & 12pm-8pm (Monday to Friday only). Do you have the correct profile?
We welcome your application if you are an experienced production worker who has worked within a similar manufacturing-led operation. You will ideally be familiar with using a range of associated hand-tools and machinery, be accustomed to upholding health, safety & quality standards whilst ‘owning’ your own projects and working to deadlines. An ability to read/interpret work specifications is imperative as is familiarity with KPI reporting and it would also be useful if you have worked with visual management boards. You will reside within a reasonable daily journey time to our Nottingham site and have a positive and flexible approach to work.

- Effectively interpret technical drawings to derive best method of manufacturing assembly
- Use a range of machines & tools including corrugated converters/gluing machines.
- Taking responsibility for jobs from start-to-finish, effectively completing projects (in line with customer order specifications, quality guidelines and within agreed deadlines)
- To ensure all job instructions are followed safely & accurately in order to meet the required quality and output levels.
- Completing all relevant documentation accurately and promptly, before passing to Team Leader (including KPI reporting & use of visual management boards)
- Following all quality guidelines accurately as stipulated by the customer order specifications
