You will join a successful sales team based at our  Wakefield site and enjoy a varied territory sales role covering wider Yorkshire. The Key Account Manager role 
Due to our continued growth are we now seeking to appoint an experienced Key Account Manager to take charge of a £3m+ client portfolio. This established customer base  boasts several high-profile, well known brands within the wider industrial & e-commerce sectors.
 
Supported by an internal sales coordinator based at our Wakefield site, you shall travel regularly across the wider Yorkshire region to conduct key customer meetings. You will act as the main contact for your assigned customers responsible for successfully delivering solutions to meet their needs.
 
Your success shall also be measured against account growth and gross profit targets which will require you to proactively identify & capitalise on all opportunities to increase sales/profitability by utilising a solution led sales approach.
 
Key Account Manager Key Duties
  • Manage assigned accounts (typically spending between £100k-£600k) to ensure that the regional sales and profit targets are achieved and exceeded
  • Be the main point of contact for allocated key accounts, with emphasis on the building of relationships throughout the organization
  • Often facilitating orders via vendor-managed inventory approach
  • On occasion, contribute to the development of potential national accounts
  • Work in a constructive manner with your key internal colleagues across internal sales, logistics & procurement
  • Also work proactively to help add to and develop the client portfolio (via new business sales approach)
  • Develop, analyse and present relevant data including key deliverables
 
Do you have the correct profile?
We are ideally seeking a packaging-industry experienced individual, who can demonstrate prior success of managing and cultivating a similar size customer portfolio both via ongoing account management and new business cultivation. Our ideal applicant will therefore be dynamic, career driven, self-motivated and able to sell with integrity. Packaging experience within corrugate or polythene would be ideal, selling previously for a distributor or manufacturer.
 
You will be accustomed to using a solution-based sales approach whereby customer needs are central to the whole process. Presentable, polished, intelligent, and articulate, you will be commercially aware, goal orientated and self-driven. Applicants can reside anywhere within the wider Yorkshire area, but must hold a valid UK driving licence.
