Package: Opportunity to earn salary from £20,000 to £27,000 (dependent on experience, equipment operated and output) plus bonus, regular overtime, and Company Benefits
Hours: Full time (40 Hours), Monday to Thursday (08:00 to 17:00) & Friday (08:00 to 14:20)

The Company
Our established manufacturing operation in Westbury is currently hiring Machine Production Operatives. Our specialist manufacturing division designs and manufactures bespoke protective packaging solutions which are designed exclusively for customers to protect their products during transportation and storage. Customers span several key sectors including Aerospace, Defence, Electronics, Industrial and Medical.
 

The Role & Responsibilities
The role involves the operation of a range of conversion machinery for the manufacture of corrugated cases including flexographic printing, die-cutting and finishing.
Following induction and training the key elements of the role are:
  • Adhere to Health and Safety instructions and guidelines
  • Adhere to and be instrumental in supporting our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 processes
  • Complete training program
  • Understand drawings and specification details
  • Complete machine job set up in designated time
  • Take responsibility for jobs from start-to-finish, effectively completing projects in line with customer order specifications, quality guidelines and planned production times
  • Completing all relevant documentation accurately and promptly
  • Communicate effectively and work closely with Line Managers and colleagues
  • Learn 5s, Foreign Object Detection and Planned Preventative Maintenance programs suggesting improvements
  • Develop knowledge of production techniques, practices, and products

Who we are looking for
We welcome your application if you are a production operative looking to develop their knowledge and skill base. You will ideally be practical and familiar with using a range of machinery, whilst upholding health, safety, and quality standards.
Any knowledge of production techniques, corrugate, timber, foam or metalwork products would be advantageous. The ability to read/interpret technical drawings would be useful as would experience of working to tight deadlines. You will ideally reside within a reasonable daily commute to our Westbury site and have a positive attitude and flexible approach to work including overtime as required.
