Warehouse Supervisor role
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced warehouse person to support with day to day management and deputise in his absence. We welcome applications from motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are genuinely customer focussed, team-players with good interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a flexible approach and strong work ethic. Our warehouse team work 45 hours a week across Monday to Friday. Normal core working hours for our Supervisor shall be 8.00am-6:00pm Monday to Friday however providing holiday cover of managing a shift is a requirement (Dayshift 06.00-16.00hrs/Backshift 12.00- 22.00hrs) hence we do ask for flexibility in line with business requirements. You will be working as an integral part of our regional logistics team, taking a hands-on approach to carrying out key duties whilst leading by example and supervising up to 8 full time warehouse staff and 5 drivers.
Warehouse Supervisor Key Duties
Reporting to the Logistics Manager, key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
Do you have the correct profile?
Firstly, you must be an experienced warehouse/logistics supervisor with a minimum of 1-2 years spent managing/supervising warehouse and driving staff within a fast-paced distribution environment. You must also hold valid forklift (reach & counterbalance) licences. You will be expected to act as a first-aider at work (again training can be provided). It is imperative that you have a strong work-ethic with a flexible ‘can do’ attitude. Also crucial is a strong customer-focus with the ability to interact positively with our customers. First and foremost you will be an able and dependable warehouse operative in your own right, not afraid to get your hands dirty, but also able to lead by example and motivate others to do a good job.

- Receive, inspect and unload supplier deliveries
- Pick, load and dispatch goods
- Receive and process customer/supplier returns
- Dealing direct with customers both in person & via telephone, ensuring high standards of customer service at all times.
- Maintain company standards in line with O-licence & Health & Safety procedure
- Cost effective scheduling of deliveries to customers via Company vehicles or outside carriers to achieve a 24/48 hour delivery service (including route planning via use of Paragon software)
- Ensuring paperwork is processed onto the system accurately and timely
- Stock-taking
- Giving instruction to via delegation and supervising performance of warehouse colleagues & Drivers to ensure tasks are completed effectively and within timescales required
