The Role
We are now urgently seeking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Engineer to work at our Westbury Manufacturing site. The role will be reporting to the Manufacturing Manager and shall be responsible for all aspects of maintenance and legislative compliance for Plant, Buildings and Services. A full-time position with core hours working Monday-Thursday 08:00 – 17:00 and an early finish Friday 8:00 – 14:20; but with the need for flexibility in line with business demands.

In order to apply for this role you must have served a recognised maintenance apprenticeship or have long term experience in a similar role and hold appropriate vocational qualifications including IEE 18th Edition. Applicants must reside within a reasonable commute of our Westbury site (although we also welcome applications from ‘genuine’ relocaters).

Key Responsibilities
- Day to day electrical and mechanical maintenance of plant and buildings
- Support the installation of new equipment
- Maintain appropriate records to ensure legislative compliance and demonstrate due diligence
- Manage Fire Suppression Sprinkler Systems, Security Systems and Legionella control
- Develop and implement Planned Maintenance Programmes
- Manage site waste including control of hazardous waste
- Support the enforcement of health and safety regulations
- Promote Health and Safety initiatives and control all contractors to site maintaining documentation records and issuing of Permits to Work
- Establish specifications and obtain competitive quotations to order machine parts, materials and building works
- Assist the Design and Production teams to introduce new products from the drawing board into production
- To work on call for emergency situations that may arise
- Engage in the delivery of focused improvement activities
