Macfarlane Group PLC is the UK's largest packaging distributor, and we are seeking to urgently hire a vibrant, sales focused individual to join our E-Commerce Accounts team as a New Business Sales Support Coordinator. The New Business Sales Support Coordinator role
The core focus of this role is to make outbound calls to identify potential new e-commerce businesses/accounts. Working alongside the E-Commerce Accounts team, you will be researching businesses, prospecting and making appointments. By generating leads via outbound activity to this will help develop customer spend and identify new opportunities. Another key part of this role will be to develop social media campaigns for E-Commerce Accounts customers.  
 
The New Business Sales Support Coordinator Key Duties
  • To create and determine a list of prospect customers for the E-Commerce Accounts Team 
  • To investigate previous leads received where there was no success and endeavour to re-engage the customer, if appropriate. 
  • Making outbound calls to identify key stakeholders & engage accordingly 
  • To report on outcome of leads, conversion and new business sales  
  • Working with the Ecommerce Accounts Team to identify opportunities for lead conversion improvement. 
  • Working with the Macfarlane Marketing team, developing social media campaigns for E-Commerce customers specifically. 
  • Supporting and coordinating activities for the E-Commerce Accounts team. (For example, to assist with key projects, sales lead management, adding data to Dynamics) 
  • Updating Macfarlane’s CRM system – Microsoft Dynamics, profiling prospects and setting up accounts  
  • Research and keep up to date on other competitors in the market on social media and share any data. 
  • To support in planning any packaging shows or events the Ecommerce Accounts Team attend 
  • Work with the Macfarlane Design and Sales teams in creating ongoing projects to attract new potential customers (gift packs, new designs and how we market those). 
 
Do you have the correct profile?
The successful candidate will be comfortable in making outbound calls, be friendly and enthusiastic to chat to people, striving to make appointments for the external sales team. You will also ideally have some previous experience of working within a small office-based team. We are looking for an upbeat, motivated individual who will enjoying the buzz and challenge of a fast-paced environment, with the tenacity not to give up!
